Streatham will be bathed in beautiful white light this Christmas, with magical Christmas decorations transforming our famously long High Road and Streatham Green. The lights are being officially switched on at Streatham Green/Babington Road, near the Manor Arms pub on Saturday 6th December between 4 and 5pm.
Expect a big show of pretty festoon and fairy lighting, a beautiful Christmas tree and a festive Farmers Market to create a wonderfully atmospheric event to kick start Christmas.
InStreatham Business Improvement District has collaborated with local architects and designers, Beep Studio, to create an imaginative and interactive trail highlighting the rich heritage of local Streatham personalities in a bid to encourage more people to explore Streatham High Road.
Following an incredibly successful Art23 art trail as part of the Streatham Festival we are now looking for businesses on the high road to be involved in our Christmas lights campaign called Lights On! Streatham.
The campaign created by Shout Streatham, Art23, Paper Planes Collective and the BID aims to boost footfall, lift local businesses and light the area during the dimmest months of the year with a series of art installations along the high road.
A great new weekly market is happening in Streatham every Saturday.
Expect to find an excellent mix of lovely fresh local produce, gorgeous handmade crafts, delicious hot food and community stalls EVERY Saturday from 10am until 3pm!
For more information visit weareccfm.com or call 020 8302 9010 to get involved.
